A chance to us the big tent I have been carting around with me but have not used. It is complicated to set us and is meant for a long term stay. Need something that can be set up in a couple of minutes. Got another smaller tent for $20 and it works just fine.
Shared one beach with monkeys. Saw a couple when we arrived and heard their calls overnight. In the morning there was evidence of there visit. Tiny handprints on the fly of the tent.

Leaving the main roads presents some problems because the secondary roads can be very bad. Well we needed to travel about fifty kilometres on a gravel road. Saw some intersesting country but the trip was hard on the bikes. Sylvain had a slow speed tumble and left skin off his leg. They both ride without protective gear. Singlets and shorts are the go until this fall perhaps.
