Quito, Ecuador

Huge city built in a valley that is surrounded by volcanic mountains. Chose to stay in the old city. Coming from the north I had to ride through the new part of the city and it was just like any other city in the world with glass and concrete.

The old city has narrow cobblestone streets with old colonial buildings.

Spent a couple of days wondering the streets. Trips on offer to walk to the summits of various volcanos (call me lazy) but chose not to.
