The roads overall have been good. Pot holes the size and depth of the average household wheelbarrow aside my experience has been positive. Colombia and El Salvador had the best roads and southern Ecuador has a battle with Honduras for the worst.
Riding mountain passes for hundreds of kilometres at a time can be fun but don´t get carried away because around every corner there is a surprise waiting to bite.
