Been home a while - new plans.

Having time at home with family has recharged my batteries.

Shirley not ready to retire and she heads off to work three days a week. So I am technically a kept man now that I am officially retired. Earn my keep by preparing meals and cleaning in a fashion.

Got the tools out to complete a few maintenance jobs around the house.

Those of you that have been following my travels will know that it was my intention to join a group travelling to China through Europe, etc. That trip will not now happen. This northern hemisphere summer anyway. A touch over twenty thousand kilometres from USA to Chile is perhaps enough for one year but next year look out.

This year a little gaunt up to tropical north Queensland sounds like a worthwhile thing to do. A six or seven thousand kilometre round trip only. My son Adam may take a week or two of his accrued holiday entitlement and join me. Meet him at Cairns, when he flys in, and then we may ride up to Cape Tribulation and/or the Tablelands.

If anyone wants to know how the trip is going please go to new blog -
